Season Two of The Carrie Diaries begins with Carrie determined to make the most of her summer, living with Walt (Brendan Dooling) in Manhattan " and all the grit and glamour it has to offer " even agreeing to a night on the town with Donna LaDonna (Chloe Bridges).
But when Donna shows up with Sebastian, Carrie decides to go out on her own, and by a series of surprising events meets one of the greatest loves of her life, Samantha Jones (Lindsey Gort).
Its the summer of 1985, and, for the first time, 17-year-old Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb) can call Manhattan home. After her boyfriend Sebastian (Austin Butler) and best friend Maggie (Katie Findlay) betrayed her, Carrie is happy to accept the offer to spend the summer living in the downtown loft apartment of her Interview magazine boss Larissa (Freema Agyeman).
But as summer turns to fall and Carrie heads into her senior year, she and her friends and family discover that letting go of old loves and embracing new dreams comes with some tough new realities but also incredible new opportunities. The series stars AnnaSophia Robb (Soul Surfer) as Carrie Bradshaw, Austin Butler (Switched at Birth, Life Unexpected) as Sebastian Kydd, Ellen Wong (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Combat Hospital) as Mouse; Katie Findlay (The Killing, SGU Stargate Universe) as Maggie Landers, Stefania Owen (Running Wilde, The Lovely Bones) as Dorrit Bradshaw, Brendan Dooling (An Elfs Story: The Elf on the Shelf) as Walt Reynolds, Chloe Bridges (90210) as Donna LaDonna, Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who, Law & Order: UK) as Larissa Loughton, and Matt Letscher (Brothers & Sisters, Entourage) as Tom Bradshaw.
