Pennsylvania State Police, Maryland State Police, Carroll Township Police and the FBI are forming a multi-jurisdictional task force to find the suspect wanted in connection with a homicide on I-81 in Franklin County.

The incident happened on I-81 on Saturday near Mile Marker 3 in Antrim Township. Police say Timothy Davison, of Poland, Maine was gunned down after someone ran him off the roadway and into the median.

State Police and Carroll Township Police are also investigating a similar incident in Carroll Township, York County. The incidents happened within 8 hours of each other on January 3rd and January 4th.

There are many similarities between the two incidents, but evidence connecting them has yet to be established, a press release said. Both investigations are being treated as related until evidence proves otherwise.

State Police say the acts against Davison were random to the point of his encounter with the suspect. Beyond that, police say the acts against him were 'very deliberate, calculated, and violent." Police say the potential for additional incidents of similar 'is anticipated' due to the violent nature of this incident.

Officials say they believe someone in the Tri-State area knows who or who may be responsible for the homicide. They are asking anyone who knows someone with violent tendencies and that owns or operates a Ford Ranger style vehicle with damage, to call PA Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4PA-TIPS (800-472-8477)

Police also ask anyone who was traveling on I-81 near the Maryland/PA line on January 4th between 1:30 a.m. and 2:15 a.m., to call police with anything you observed that you believe could be connected to the investigation. Police, FBI form task force to look for I-81 homicide suspect
