16-year-old shot in York City

YORK CITY -- On March 14, 2014 at approx. 8:15 p.m., York City Police was notified that a 16-year-old arrived at the York Hospital with a gunshot to his left bicep. 

According to police, the juvenile is uncooperative and is providing police with little information. 

Police tell CBS 21 that the boy claims he was shot in front of his residence in the 300 block of W. Gay St. by an unknown suspect. 

According to police, there were reports of shots fired in the 600 blk. of W. Market St 15 minutes earlier in the evening. 

Police say it is unknown whether the two incidents are related.

The victim is currently being treated at York Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
