A local womans natural remedies for battling side effects from menopause and PMS are gaining national attention for her ways to help women, over the age of 35, especially when it comes to losing weight.

Dawn Cutillo of Lancaster County is not a doctor. However, her work is catching the eyes of daytime television doctors. Having worked for over 25 years in the medical field, most recently, the holistic health practitioner opened The Rejuvenation Center.

Finances, work, family can all play factors for stress, according to Cutillo.

It causes cortisol to go up and imbalance in female hormones, said Cutillo. That causes PMS and menopausal symptoms and actually makes weight loss harder for women over 35.

Instead of turning to pills, the author of The Hormone Shift said the root of all problems comes back to an imbalance hormone problem.

Progesterone, its a fat burner, diuretic, it helps you be in a good mood and helps you sleep, she said. That gets drained under stress. We simply naturally raise it, she said.

Calling it an epidemic, her holistic and natural approach landed her a spot on daytime televisions The Doctors. The show, guest starring Marie Osmond, airs Tuesday morning at 9a.m.

Her brother, David, a former executive from Philadelphia left his position to become a full-time marketing staffer for Dawns business. Its a project that hits close to him.

I lost 115 pounds in less than six months, said David. It is geared towards women, but affects men, too because of insulin.

Everything we do is based on science so if theres a good scientific evidence for women it seems to really resonate with them, said Dawn.

The Rejuvenation Center is located at 484 Royer Drive in Lancaster and online at http://www.therejuvenationcenterpa.com/A local woman's natural remedies land her a spot on 'The Doctors'
