Lebanon -- Police quickly arrested the man who robbed a bank around 1 p.m. on Friday.

The robbery occurred at the Northwest Bank at 770 Cumberland Street.  A bank teller reported that a man entered the bank, handed over a note and demanded money.

The man showed what appeared to be a handgun, but did not point it at employees.

The suspect, later identified as Louis Jones, 67 of Reading, received an unknown amount of cash and fled the scene.

Police found Jones in the area of 7th and Chestnut Streets.

The money received by Jones contained a red-dye pack.  Police found the evidence in Liberty Alley, including red-stained money.  However, it is unknown if all of the dropped money was recovered.  Police urge anyone who finds dye stained money to not attempt to spend or use it.  Instead, call Lebanon City Police at 717-272-6611.

Police have charged Jones with robbery and placed him in prison on $250,000 bail.
