Dillsburg plans annual pickle drop, including baby pickle making debut

DILLSBURG -- Central Pennsylvania
is known for having some of the most unique New Year’s Eve drops in the entire
country -- and Dillsburg has helped grow that reputation.



Today organizers were
making final preparations for their annual pickle drop. The event kicks off
tomorrow at 4:30 pm. at the Citizens Hose Fire Co., 109 S. Baltimore St.,
Dillsburg.



There will be a blood
drive, live music, a magician, and other family-friendly entertainment.



“There is no better
place to be for New Year’s Eve than Dillsburg, Pa.," Deana Weaver, event
co-ordinator, said.



"So you can come
down. Come to Dillsburg and get pickled," she added.



"Li’l Dill,"
whom you just saw there,is making her debut tomorrow and will be dropped at 7
p.m., before  Mr. Pickle is dropped at
midnight.
