Fireworks thrown from car in Lancaster Co.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after three fireworks/explosives were thrown from a car in Lancaster County.

Police say the incidents happened on October 8th between 6:40 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. near Reading Road and Maple Grove Road in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County.


The explosives were thrown from a truck by a white male, described as a white, dual wheeled Ford pick-up truck. A witness told police they know the suspect as "Bill."

The explosive went off approximately 2 feet from a car that was occupied by a woman and child. The explosive caused body damage to the car when it detonated.

Police say the firework had been hit prior to the detonation by another passing car.
