On Dec. 17, Northern York County Regional Police Commission recognized five Officers for their actions in arresting a shooting suspect on Nov. 23.

Around 2:25 a.m. Nov. 23, NYCRPD was called to the Belmont Club at 36 West 11th Ave. Officers were told a male was in the parking lot with a handgun.

Officers were unable to locate the male due to the size of the crowd leaving the club. While Officers were still in the parking area of the club, a gunshot was heard.

The shooting victim was taken inside the club by patrons and officers quickly identified the shooter. The shooter was locked inside his vehicle sitting in the parking lot. After the shooter refused to exit the vehicle, a car window was broken and the shooter was forcibly removed from the vehicle.

Officers located a semi-automatic .45-caliber pistol on the passenger seat. The man was charged with criminal attempted homicide and placed in York County Prison.

Sgt. John Migatulski, Ofcr. Daniel Zimmerman, Ofcr. Joshua Reimers, Ofcr. J. Frank Biesecker and Ofcr. Andrew Miller were recognized for their actions.
