Man accused of stealing shrimp on eight different occasions

A Lancaster County man is facing charges after allegedly stealing shrimp from Giant on several different occasions.

Police say Mauricio C. Cosme, 31, of Lancaster was observed taking items from the store and leaving without paying on nine different occasions. In eight thefts, shrimp totaling $578, was stolen.  The incidents happened between January 21 and January 30.

Police say Cosme was identified January 30th after he was observed leaving without paying for shrimp and other items valued at $113. Cosme was accompanied by Angel L. Olmeda-Rivera, 30. 

Officers searched Cosme's vehicle and found items that were allegedly taken from another store in another jurisdiction.

Nine citations for retail theft have been filed against Cosme, a press release said. One citation for retail theft has been filed against Olmeda-Rivera. A criminal complaint was also filed against Olmeda-Rivera for receiving stolen property.Man accused of stealing shrimp on eight different occasions
