Updated: Tuesday, January 7 2014, 01:01 PM CST
A Lancaster County man is facing charges after allegedly robbing a pizza delivery man at knifepoint.

Lititz Borough Police have charged William Gustafson Jr., 20, of Lititz with robbery, robbery of a motor vehicle and terroristic threats.

Police say Gustafson allegedly approached a pizza delivery man in the 700 block of South Broad Street around 12:10 a.m. on January 1st.

Gustafson allegedly placed a knife against the driver's back and demanded money and the driver's car. The driver handed over money and fled into a building in the 700 block of South Broad Street.

Police say Gustafson stole the driver’s money and vehicle and fled the area.  Within the hour, Lititz Borough Police learned that Columbia Borough Police had attempted to stop Gustafson for a traffic violation, when he fled and crashed into another Columbia Borough Police Officer's cruiser.

Before the robbery, Gusafson allegedly broke into a camper in the 500 block of Owl Hill Road in Warwick Township and allegedly stole two Cobalt screwdrivers. Police say he also allegedly unsuccessfully attempted to light the stove by burning paper towels.

Gustafson then allegedly broke into a shed in the 1st block of West Ridge Road in Warwick Township, by breaking a window and attempting to steal a bicycle, which he could not fit through the broken window.  Police say he then stole a mountain pie maker and left through the broken window.

Gustafson is facing charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking or disposition and criminal mischief.

After he was released from Lancaster General Hospital, Gustafson was taken to Lancaster County Prison on $100,000 cash bail.
