Man wanted for attempted homicide in Puerto Rico arrested in York

YORK -- West York Police arrested a man wanted for attempted homicide in Puerto Rico early Monday morning.

Ricardo Alicea-Marquez, 29, was riding in a car that was pulled over just after 410 a.m. on Monday.

Officers learned of the warrant out for his arrested during the stop, and he was taken into custody until he can be extradited to Puerto Rico.

Alicea-Marquez is the alleged suspect from a June 18, 2013 shooting in San German and fled to the United States after a warrant was issued for his arrest. 

He faces charges of attempt to commit murder and two counts of violation of Puerto Rico Weapons Law in Puerto Rico.
