PENNSYLVANIA -- The Pennsylvania chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America was shocked and devastated to learn of the death of two-month-old Kestyn Davis, of Lancaster County, on Christmas Eve.

Even though District Attorney Craig Stedman continued to stress the importance of responsible gun ownership, mothers across the country are urging authorities to press charges immediately in this case. According to the organization, shooting and killing a human being due to an unsecured firearm should and must be considered more severe than an “accident.”

Moms Demand Action is calling on the Pennsylvania legislature to propose and pass laws that hold adults accountable if their negligence results in the shooting of a child. Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America responds to infant shooting death
