HARRISBURG -- In Dauphin County, there will be new health and dental discount card programs for county residents.

Today, Dauphin County commissioners talked about the programs, which will help people save on commonly used health services at participating insurance providers.

The dental discount program can save people 5 to 50 percent, while the health discount program offers a 15 to 70 percent discount.

"The plan will allow those to get a reduced rate. It's not free, there's a fee for them. It's a program that allows people underinsured or not insured to have another option to develop a program they get their own coverage," Jeff Haste, Dauphin County commissioner, said.

Residents will have to enroll in the programs to start saving. If you'd like to register, go to www.naco.org or call 888-407-6226.
