NTSB: Butler Township plane crash happened after "inflight breakup"

BUTLER TOWNSHIP -- A plane crash that killed two people back in December happened after an "inflight break up", according to a report released by the The National Transportation and Safety Board.

46-year-old Michael Bronzburg and 17-year-old Miranda Rose, both of Catawissa, Pennsylvania were killed in the crash. Both deaths were ruled accidental.

According to the report, the plane, a Piper PA-30, left Bloomsburg Municipal Airport at about 4:45am and was headed to Summerville Airport in Summerville, North Carolina. The crash happened at about 5:30am on December 26th.

No flight plan was filed, the report states. And the crash left a debris path about 2,350 feet long, with one section located about 1,000 feet north of the main wreckage.NTSB: Butler Township plane crash happened after "inflight breakup"
