A Northern York County Regional Police Officer was honored on Tuesday, with a life saving award.

The Northern York County Regional Police Board of Commissioners honored Officer Matthew Chetaitis, after he saved the life of a man who was in cardiac arrest.

According to a press release, Chetaitis responded to a call on January 7, for a report of a man in cardiac arrest. Chetaitis arrived at the home in the 4500 block of Bull Road in Dover Township, and found a 38-year-old man in full cardiac arrest.

Officer Chetaitis administered CPR on the man until the arrival of EMS.  The man regained a pulse and was transported to the hospital.Police officer honored for saving man's life
