Precautionary boil advisory lifted in Fairview Township

FAIRVIEW TOWNSHIP -- Pennsylvania American Water said today that it is no longer necessary for customers in parts of Fairview Township to boil water before use.

Acceptable bacteria test results were obtained from samples collected on Jan 2 and 3 and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has authorized lifting of the precautionary advisory.

This notice applies to residential customers on Terrace Place, Pleasant View Terrace, Hemlock Road, Evergreen Road, Summit Road, Ridge View Road, Oak Drive, Ann Road, Skyline Road, Walnut Level Road, Oak Knoll Road,  Orchard Road, Clearview Road and Cherry Hill Drive in Fairview Township.

The boil advisory was issued on January 2, 2014, due to a water main break.
