Two puppies who were left to die in a backpack in the cold in Lancaster, have now found a forever home.

The puppies were found earlier this month, one of them covered in ice.

According to Lancaster Online, Breeze and Lucky have been adopted by the Good family from Ephrata. The shelter received hundreds of requests to adopt the pair but it was the letter from 13-year-old Samantha that touched their hearts.

In her letter, she drew a picture of the dogs with the caption 'Love holds us together.'
