With snow on the ground and temperatures below freezing, heat is one of our best friends – and when something goes wrong with our heat, we need it fixed fast!

For service technicians like Lloyd Goodyear, this time of year is one of the busiest.

“The hotter it gets and the colder it gets the busier it gets,” said Lloyd Goodyear frmom H.B. McClure Company.

Sunday Lloyd was called to a home in Carlisle to take a look at a heating unit at the home of the Huff family. Luckily, the experts know what to do.

Lloyd had the exact parts needed to fix the problem, and after taking the whole unit apart, he started fixing the unit to make sure the heat works with no problems.

“Cause you don’t want customers out there without heat,” said Goodyear.

And that’s why some HVAC companies like H.B. McClure are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

And with about an hours worth of work, the Huff family has their unit back in perfect condition.

“Very satisfied, yes, he found the parts that fit, we didn’t have to wait, and so now it’s nice and quiet and running just the way it’s supposed to,” said Dan Huff.

And while this problem is solved, there could be problems looming in your home.

If you ever smell anything strange, hear weird noises, or notice that your heating isn’t making your home warm, it’s important that you call a technician to take a look and solve the problem.

If your heating has no problems, but you’re looking to cut down on your heating costs, the best things to do are to make sure your home is well insulated and there are no cracks in windows or doors to let the cold air in.Ride along with an HVAC worker
