Updated: Wednesday, October 2 2013, 01:07 PM CDT
The U.S. Marshal Service announced the arrest of a North Carolina sex offender in York, after he allegedly failed to register his address.

U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced that Jason Robert Dunn, 29 was arrested. On June 10th, 2008, Dunn was convicted of rape of a child under the age of 12 in North Carolina.  This conviction required Dunn to register as a sex offender.

On September 26, the York City Police Department charged Dunn with Failure to Comply with Megan’s Law registration requirements.  On that same day, a warrant was issued by Magisterial District Judge Linda Williams for Dunn’s arrest.

On October 1st, the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania located Dunn in the 300 block of South Sherman Street in York.

Officials say Dunn was arrested without incident.  He was transferred to the York County Central Booking for processing.
