Silver Spring Township Police are warning parents of students at Cumberland Valley High School about a potential SAT/ACT scam.

On Saturday, police were notified that a parent received a phone call from a man who indicated that he was calling from the school. Police say the man talked about obtaining resources for the parents to assist in the child's SAT and ACT testing.

The man also asked the parent for a credit card number from the parent, to reserve CD's.

School district officials say the person is not authorized and is not a representative from the school. Silver Spring Township Police alert parents about possible SAT scam
