State police and American Legion seek camp applicants

The PSP and American Legion are seeking teen applicants interested in pursuing military service and law enforcement careers for its "State Police Youth Week" leadership camp. 

The week-long camp encourages team-building exercises, physical fitness, training, classroom activities involving police and military information, and a marksmanship course. Staffed by PSP, PA Army National Guard, and PA American Legion, cadets are taught military courtesy and participate in a platoon-based drill competition.

"State Police Youth Week"  will be held at York College in York, PA, June 8-14.  Applicants must be between the ages of 15-17, have a good academic record and be in good health.  Students who have previously attended the camp are not eligible to apply again.
