State Police investigate several home invasion/robberies in Franklin County

State Police are investigating four home invasion robberies. Police say all four robberies were involving victims who are elderly women. All four incidents happened on January 8th between 1:17 a.m. and 4:16 a.m.

Police say the incidents happened at homes in in Shady Grove, Quincy, Waynesboro, and Greencastle, Franklin County.

In all four incidents, the suspect entered the home through an unlocked door.  Police say the suspect encountered the victims and demanded money. In several of the incidents, police say the suspect verbally threatened the women.

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Police say jewelry was also stolen in one of the incidents.

The victims, ranging from age 73-84, were not injured.

State Police say the robberies are believed to be connected to two similar robberies that happened on December 22nd. They are also believed to be connected to a home robbery of an 85-year-old woman in Washington Township on January 8th.

Police are asking the public for help to identify the suspect. He is described as a white male with a small to medium build and is approximately 5'4-5'7 in height.

Home owners are being reminded to keep doors locked, leave lights on, and take proactive measures to keep themselves safe.  Police also encourage you to look out for and check on your elderly neighbors. State Police investigate several home invasion/robberies in Franklin County
