State Police search for missing man in East Hanover Twp.

The identity of the missing Lebanon County man has been released.

Sunday afternoon authorities continued  the search for 21-year-old, Maxwell Duesterhoeft near Swatara Creek.

According to Pennsylvania State police Maxwell was attending a party at a picnic area near 654 Pine Road in East Hanover Twp.

The party extended into the early morning hours Saturday.  At some time between 2 and 3 a.m, Maxwell took off his shoes, walked away from the party and headed toward the edge of the Swatara Creek.  He never returned. 

When party goers realized he was missing they began to looking for him. Friends continued looking into the noon hours before contacting Pennsylvania State Police at 7 p.m. 

Maxwell's car was still at the picnic area when police arrived at the scene and a limited search was conducted.

The search continued Sunday morning at 10 using ground personnel and a State Police helicopter. The area of the creek, and the banks were searched for several miles in each direction from the site, and the only signs of Maxwell were footprints in the creek bed leading into the creek.

A water search was initiated by Ono Fire Company but the effort turned up nothing of  Maxwell's whereabouts.

Maxwell was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt, blue jeans and no shoes.
