YORK CITY -- A 16-year-old girl is being
credited with saving her three younger siblings after their house caught
on fire.

Flames broke out Saturday afternoon in the 800 block of West Poplar Street.

We talked to the fire chief who tells us the two-alarm fire started in the kitchen.

"The one girl was with her siblings, she actually noticed the fire in
the kitchen and she was able to safely get her siblings out. She did a
great job getting everyone out," says David Michaels, York City Fire Chief.

We're told five people are out of their home.

The Red Cross is helping them.

The chief tells us the girl was checked out for smoke inhalation, but is okay.
