HARRISBURG -- Two local boys are getting national recognition for their fight to stop Pennsylvania puppy mills.

Joey and Anthony DePasquale are two of 16 people the Humane Society of the United States honored in its “Stop Puppy Mills” campaign.

The boys rescued a puppy mill dog, Franklin, and have since fostered many others -- and knowing first-hand what these dogs go through, they took action.

You'll remember back in June we ran their story when they met with Gov. Tom Corbett. They presented him with a petition with 13,000 signatures to stop puppy mills.
