Two Waynesboro men have been arrested and charged in connection to the downloading, sharing, and distribution of child pornography.

According to Attorney General Kathleen Kane, Joe Barclay, 59, and Evan Lawbaugh, 30, were arrested in connection to the investigation.

Barclay was arrested on March 6, following an undercover investigation into the online sharing of child pornography.  Agents located a number of files that contained graphic images of children, under the age of 19, engaged in sexually explicit acts, a press release said.

Agents searched Barclay's home and seized various computers and other electronic media, the Attorney General's office said. A preliminary review of the items revealed 15 video files that allegedly contained child pornography and suspected child pornographic images on a cellular phone.

Barclay is charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography, one count of distribution of child pornography, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. Barclay is currently being held in Franklin County Prison on $300,000 bail.

Lawbaugh was also arrested on March 6. Officials say he was arrested after a two-month investigation. Agents searched Lawbaugh's home and seized a laptop computer and three thumb drives.  According to court documents, at least 15 files of suspected child pornography was found on the laptop. The items will be further reviewed by the Attorney General's Computer Forensics unit.

Lawbaugh is charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of distribution of child pornography, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.

He is currently being held at Franklin County Prison on $300,000 bail.
