Fairview Township Police say a 2-year-old boy who was injured in a stabbing incident on Friday, has been released from the hospital.

Police were called to a home on Firefox Lane in Fairview Township, York County, around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, for a report of a self-inflicted stab wound. When officers arrived, police found 36-year-old Candis Bradshaw with a stab wound to her chest.

A short time later, officers discovered that Bradshaw's 2-year-old son had two cuts on both sides of his neck. Police say the cuts were each several inches long.

Both Bradshaw and her son were flown to Hershey Medical Center for treatment.

Police say the 2-year-old was released from the hospital over the weekend. Candis is still being treated for her injuries.

Police say that it appears Candis inflicted all of the injuries, but police are still investigating the incidents. Criminal charges may follow after appropriate medical and psychological treatments are completed.
