Ocean Depew of York County, is looking for answers, after she says someone stole her dog.

"Wherever I go he goes.  Whatever I eat he eats. He's my partner, like he's my best friend.  He's the only person I talk to.   He's everything," she said.

Depew is emotional about her missing dog. She last saw her 10-year-old Malamute Timerwolfe mix on Wednesday.

She says his chain broke and her dog ran across the street to a field, near Rutters on Main Street in Loganville Borough. "I don't know if it was a weak spot or what it was, if he was rubbing against something.  But, it just snapped."

What happened next, she says, is criminal. According to State Police, a woman who was seen driving a white BMW SUV, saw the dog running in the field. Police say surveillance video shows the woman run up to the dog, grab it, and put it in her car.

"Three people told the lady who got gas, that she grabbed my dog. She told him, in her car, that he looked injured so she's taking him.  Next thing I know, she went to the cop with my dog in the backseat of her car,  saying she found a lost dog.  They gave her the number to animal control. They gave her the rest of the day to call, but got no word from her saying she got a dog," Depew said.

There were no tags on the dog and he wasn't microchipped, but State Police are investigating it as a theft.

Ocean says she just wants an explanation and her best friend returned home. "We've had him for 10 years.  He's a family dog. I grew up with him, but it's hard to see.  Who steals a dog, my best friend.  My partner, he's gone."

She asked CBS 21 not to use the dog's name, because she doesn't want the person who has him to know it.

The driver of the white BMW SUV was last seen crossing the Susquehanna Trail and traveling east on North Street.

The dog is described as a white, Alaskan Malamute-Timberwolfe mix. The dog weighs approximately 80-90 pounds and is very friendly.
