Lancaster City Police are investigating a shots fired incident that happened on Tuesday night.

Around 11:06 p.m. police were called to the area of the 200 block of East Clay Street for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they were able to determine that no one had been shot or injured.

Officers were told that two people witnessed what they believed to be a domestic disturbance. Police say two people intervened in the disturbance and chased a man towards the intersection of North Lime Street and East Clay Street.

A third party, known to the male who was chased, allegedly got out a handgun and fired at least one gunshot, a press release said. Witnesses told police the person that fired the shot had left the scene in a vehicle.

Officers were able to make contact with that person and he voluntarily came to the Police station to be interviewed.

Police say everyone involved in the incident was identified and located. The gun that was believed to be used was recovered.

Police have filed a criminal complaint against Angel M. Rosa in connection with this incident. Rosa has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault, two counts of recklessly endangering another person and one count of discharge firearms.

Police say Rosa surrendered on Thursday on $10,000 bail.
