UPDATE: Lt. Governor Jim Cawley discharged from hospital

Harrisburg -- Lt. Governor Jim Cawley was discharged from Harrisburg Hospital around 3 p.m. Tuesday after undergoing a series of medical tests.

Cawley was admitted to the hospital Monday afternoon after feeling dizzy and light-headed. 

It was determined that Cawley’s blood pressure was elevated and he had an increased heart rate. Doctors have prescribed Cawley blood pressure medication and they will continue to monitored him.

Cawley, 44, will work from home over the next few days and is expected to resume his schedule by next week.

Lt. Governor Jim Cawley was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon after feeling light-headed.

Cawley was presiding over the Senate when he began to feel light-headed around 3 p.m.

Out of extreme caution, Cawley was taken to the hospital to be examined.

At this time, the issue is believed to not be serious, but more information will be provided as it becomes available.  UPDATE: Lt. Governor Jim Cawley discharged from hospital
