LANCASTER -- Tuesday afternoon UGI reported an estimated 330 homes in Manor Township, Lancaster County had been affected by a disruption in gas service.

As of 10 p.m. Tuesday evening, UGI told CBS 21 that approximately 200 of those homes have had gas service restored and the remaining customers should be taken care of by 11 p.m.

UGI needed to shut off gas manually to diagnose the problem, then make house calls to each affected customer before beginning to turn the gas back on.

This is resource people pay for and when it was needed most for these Manor Township residents it wasn't there.

"I would like to have seen more correspondence between the customers and UGI," said Jack Yuska.

That was the biggest complaint and really the only complaint we heard. Some residents were unsure of the root cause and when they could expect service to return.UGI told us, it's still being investigated.UPDATE: Natural gas restored to hundreds in Manor Township
