UPDATE: No smoke detectors in home of Lebanon City house fire

UPDATE:

Crews are clearing the scene of the house fire that began in the morning on the first day of 2014.

The Fire Chief tells us, through their investigation, there were no smoke detectors inside the home at the time of the fire. He says he will be issuing citations to the homeowner.

The Red Cross is now assisting the 5 people who were displaced as a result of the fire.

Crews are on the scene of an active house fire in Lebanon City.

Crews responded to the call around 5:30 Wednesday morning on the 200 block of E. Mifflin Street.

Dispatch tells us no one was inside the home at the time of the fire, and the Red Cross is assisting those who were displaced.
