UPDATE: Suspect arrested after crashing into Franklin Co. home

State Police say Nathanael G. Zimmerman, 37, of Fayetteville, has been arrested in connection with a crash that happened on Monday morning.

State Police say Zimmerman was traveling North on Black Gap Road in Greene Township when he attempted to pass another vehicle and lost control of his car. Zimmerman's car traveled of the roadway and struck an embankment, went airborne and struck a home.

Zimmerman's car then caught fire, which caused the house to catch fire.

Zimmerman fled the scene after the crash.

He was arrested at his father's home in Fayetteville and is currently in Franklin County Prison.

A car slammed into a home in Franklin County, sparking a fire to the house, leaving 2 adults and 1 child displaced.

Crews were called to the scene around 3:45 a.m. on Monday, in the 2000 block of Black Gap Road in Greene Township.

We're told the homeowners got out safely, and have no injuries. Also, the Fire Chief on scene tells us the house has extensive first and second floor damage, making it unlivable.

Officials at the scene tell us the blaze is contained.

State police say the driver of the car ran off, and they are searching for the suspect.
