U.S. Marshals arrest man wanted for sexual assault of minor

The United States Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force arrested a man wanted in York County, in connection with the sexual assault of a minor.

Officials arrested Daniel Shaub, 35, in Surfside Beach, South Carolina.

The investigation began on March 23 by the Northeast Regional Police Department, after Shaub allegedly committed sexual offenses against a minor in York County.

On December 18th an arrest warrant was issued charging Shaub with statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse-person less than 16 years of age, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault-person less than 16 years of age, corruption of minors and other charges.

On January 2nd, Northeaster Regional Police requested the help of the USMS Fugitive Task Force. Task Force members learned Shaub fled to South Carolina. He was arrested on Friday without incident.
