Woman killed in head-on collision in East Lampeter Twp.

A 71-year-old woman has died from her injuries after a head-on collision crash in East Lampeter Township.

The crash happened on Thursday night in the 1800 block of Old Philadelphia Pike (SR340).

East Lampter Township Police say a 2008 Mercedes Benz C30, driven by Patricia J. Halgash, 40, of Reinholds, collided head-on with a 1978 Chevrolet Caprice, driven by Sharon M. Mulhatten, 71, of Lancaster.

Police say Halgash's vehicle was traveling eastbound when it struck a curb on the right side of Old Philadelphia Pike. After striking the curb, Halgash's vehicle veered into the westbound lane.

Police say the vehicle traveled into the path of Mulhatten's car.

Police say Halgash got out of the vehicle and was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and was then released.

Mulhatten and her passenger 51-year-old Troy MULHATTEN both sustained life threatening injuries and were taken to Lancaster General Hospital. 

Sharon Mulhatten was pronounced dead at Lancaster General Hospital. Troy Mulhatten  at remains in the hospital in serious condition.
