No place like home for Globetrotters' Franklin

HERSHEY -- He plays more than 250 basketball games a year, but in some ways, this was his championship game.

Chris "Handles" Franklin of the Harlem Globetrotters was on the court Friday night at GIANT Center in Hershey, doing what he does best -- entertaining and playing basketball.

Coming home is extra-special for the graduate of Susquehanna Township High School.

"I've been to 74 countries around the globe, but for me, the best thing and the best place for me is coming home," said Franklin. "This is my favorite city, right here."

Franklin hopes his never-ending trip around the world with a red, white and blue basketball will inspire others, as well.

"It's great for the youth around this area -- to let them know their dreams are attainable and they can be whatever they want to be."
